This urban farm project (Open Farms) is being designed to assist Open Arms of Minnesota to feed people in-home who are coping with chronic illness and their families. Many clients struggle with poverty, access to proper nutrition and are home-bound. The Open Farms project feeds these clients and adds depth, connectivity and beauty to the community it is based in.

Join with others to create a revolutionary vision for a new egalitarian society. Help to develop a strategy to realize and implement this vision. Identify the challenges we face and how they can be overcome. We start with the premise that capitalism and its model of profit and plunder are inherently at odds with the health and well-being of the people and must be overturned. This is a group for anyone interested in reading and discussing books, mostly non-fiction. Book topics include sustainability, global warming, medical ethics, religion, politics, and topics/books of interest to members. Most current members identify as politically progressive but anyone who likes to read and discuss books is welcome. Recent reads have included The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks and Animal, Vegetable, Miracle.
