Waste vegetable oil costs cities millions per year of repairs to sewer lines and treatment plants. It should be used as a fuel and many existing cars, trucks and vans can use it. It is very cheap and it does not produce the carcinogens nor foul smells of other transportation fuels. It is safer than gasoline and diesel. If from the right sources, it can be totally carbon neutral. It is cheaper than gas or diesel.

Join us in creating a new future for Energy Use. The California Energy Commission has given us in California an outstanding opportunity to determine how the future unfolds. The CEC recommends, in its Integrated Energy Policy Report, that in 2020 all new residential buildings be required to meet zero-net-energy performance standards, and in 2030, all new buildings are required to meet the Zero Net Energy standard. This means that all new buildings, averaged over a year, take no more energy from t …

Environmental design, landscape, and horticulture/agriculture issues will continue to be a growing field! I'm seeking members who want to balance both practice and theory to engage in meaningful projects that either build our skills, or make a profit. I believe this approach is the best way for communities to prosper. A good way to achieve this would be to use environmental design programs, such as Foothill and UC Berkeley as templates. Here are some careers that these programs influence; Arbori …
